Volunteer Vacancies at Yayasan Balita Sehat - March 2011
Two Midwife/Nurse Volunteers wanted for the Yayasan Balita Sehat (YBS) Well Baby Support Group programme and future programmes.
YBS is looking for nurses and midwives to help with current and future programmes at YBS. Nurses and midwives are urgently required to assist staff in health and medical programmes, including the Well Baby Support Group programme. If you have nursing or midwifery qualifications and have any spare time YBS would be very grateful if you would volunteer your services.
Volunteer English teacher wanted to teach staff members at YBS.
YBS is looking for a volunteer to teach English to their staff members. The staff are looking to improve their communication skills in order to help them converse more effectively with visitors, potential sponsors and volunteers. They currently have a good working knowledge of English. YBS would prefer a volunteer with teaching experience; however, anyone with an interest in teaching would be very welcome. The current time slot for these lessons is 4 - 5pm, twice a week. Just two hours of your time a week could make a huge difference to YBS and its future.
Volunteer English teacher wanted to teach children aged 5-6 at YBS.
YBS is looking for a volunteer to teach English to the children involved in the early learning centre (ELC) programme. The children are aged 5-6 and only need to be taught basic level English. The friendly members of staff will help and support lesson activities. Ideally, YBS is looking for a volunteer with experience in teaching English to children, however anyone with a passion to teach children and is willing to give their time to YBS would be very welcome. These lessons are current scheduled at 9 - 10am, Mondays and Wednesdays. This will be a fun and worthwhile experience to help children at YBS.
Volunteer dance teacher wanted to teach the children at YBS.
YBS is looking for a volunteer to teach the children to dance, to encourage expression and improve their physical fitness. Teachers of all types of dance and movement would be welcome. There will be staff on hand to support lesson activities. Anyone who has a passion for dance and would like to pass it on to the children at YBS is very welcome. The current set time available for these lessons is 3- 4 pm, once a week. Just one hour of your time a week could provide an invaluable experience for these children.
Volunteer organiser wanted for art and craft activities for the children at YBS.
YBS is looking for a volunteer to organise art and craft activities for children in order to stimulate and inspire creativity. From painting to puppet making every idea is embraced and staff will be there for support. If you have an hour to spare, 9 – 10am any weekday and would like to organize fun activities for children this is the opportunity for you.
Volunteer wanted for cooking classes for the mothers at YBS.
YBS is looking for a volunteer to run cooking classes for the mothers at YBS. One of YBS's goals is to eliminate malnutrition and, in addition to the current nutrition and hygiene classes, YBS would like to teach mothers how to cook healthy meals for their families. YBS is looking for a volunteer who can speak Indonesian with basic culinary experience and knowledge of hygiene standards to run a class every Tuesday. You can play a worthwhile role in enabling these women to raise their families' nutritional levels and hygiene standards.
